Description.
There are places not meant for staying. Places without a destination, without a goal—threshold spaces, so-called liminal spaces. Liminality describes the state between two states, places, or phases of life, like a corridor between two rooms, a train station at midnight, or the fleeting moment between childhood and adulthood.
AM I REAL is an interactive exhibition about liminal stages during life. It’s about transitioning from one phase to another, from comfort to uncertainty. This exhibition is not a destination. It is a moment. A pause. A transition that—perhaps—ends in surrender. The work unfolded across three rooms: Threshold with fragmented projections and haunting soundscapes, Unraveling with chaotic visuals and disorienting audio, and Letting-go, a serene space offering clarity and hope.
Am I Real is composed of a lot of different elements by a lot of different people: Film, Photography, Audio, Arts and Crafts, 3D Rendering, 3D Printing and Projection Mapping.
My contributions to the exhibition included five liminal renders of childhood and transitional places that were played on an old crt monitor. Additionally I created four renders of a teenage room
The Project was presented at the Creativity Rules Festival 2025 in Hallein.
